Visionaries: Shaping the Way We See

Presented by Saint Joseph’s Arts Society

At Saint Joseph’s Arts Society, we celebrate artists and designers who push the boundaries of material, form, and imagination—transforming the familiar into something extraordinary. Through bold vision and masterful craft, these creators invite us to see the world in new ways.

This year, we present a selection of functional design by Sylvan Fiss, alongside artworks from Tana Quincy Arcega, Miriam Hitchcock, Summer Mei Ling Lee and Kamran Samimi, that challenge conventional notions of function, beauty, and materiality. Sculptural design blurs the line between utility and art, where whimsy meets precision. Textiles are reclaimed and reimagined, stitching together narratives of care, identity, and time. Organic forms in canvas and paint contemplate nature’s quiet endurance and the cycles of life. Poetic symbolism explores fragility and transcendence, inviting reflection on the human experience.

Together, these works transform our spaces, offering fresh perspectives and celebrating the power of creativity to inspire and reshape how we see the world around us.

The mission of Saint Joseph’s Arts Society is to promote the relevance of art and design in our daily lives and champion the local artistic and creative community. Founded by visionary designer Ken Fulk, Saint Joseph’s Arts Society is a cultural hub and creative haven located inside a revitalized National Historic Landmark former church, offering inspiring multi-disciplinary programming, engaging art and design exhibitions, innovative immersive events, and curated retail experiences.

Saint Joseph’s Arts Society is based in San Francisco, California, and has partner locations in Healdsburg, CA and Provincetown, MA.
