Allison Fall has performed in locations across the world. Her most significant performances include Art Basel in Miami Beach, Galerie Open in Berlin, Interackje 13 in Poland, Union Square in New York, and New Blood 3 in Chicago. She received her MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where she was a merit scholar, and her BFA from the Ohio State University. She also served as an instructor in performance art at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.

Allison interweaves her body within the performance space using objects to invoke a shared new experience. Fall typically confronts issue or challenges of connecting and communicating with others. She creates an awareness of space through her body and tactile objects. She often uses common household objects to help viewers relate to her vision. Porcelain serves as a significant material within her performance-based works, as it evokes a certain fragility.

She is one of the single most important performance artists who uses her body to be a part of her art practice and her materials. She intertwines the human condition and the issues of being a woman in contemporary society within her work. Using multiple materials and her body as the performance communicators, she creates an environment that viewers easily respond to.

“There is only a small sub-set of visual artists that are also performance artists who can communicate as well as Allison Fall” – John Natsoulas
